The Wonderful World of Composting program will provide participants with valuable knowledge to help them turn their food scraps and yard waste into nutrient-rich soil for their gardens.

Presenter Allen Clements is a certified biodynamic farmer, documentary filmmaker and advocate for regenerative agriculture. Allen and his family live in harmony with nature on Gnomewood Farm in Wrightsville. In this program, Allen will cover the basics of composting and vermicomposting, including the benefits of each method, the equipment needed, and the different types of materials that make the best compost. He will also share tips and tricks for maintaining a healthy compost pile and troubleshooting common problems.

Participants will learn about building and maintaining a vermicompost bin using inexpensive or found materials to begin begin their own vermicomposting journey at home.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, this workshop is a must-attend for anyone interested in sustainable living and reducing their carbon footprint.
