The shelving units in our kids’ area had seen better days, and we were happy to have had them for so many years.
But, when the Strasburg-Heisler Public Library reached out to the other libraries in the Lancaster Library System to find a new home for the old shelves they were having replaced, our director said, “Yes, please!” He drove to Strasburg, took the shelves apart, loaded them in his minivan, and brought them to their new Mount Joy home.
Members of the staff spent a couple of hours one March morning and had everything disassembled, reassembled, and moved around before the doors opened to the public at 10am. Click here to see our video on Facebook.
