The Donegal Education Association (DEA) proudly donated $1,000 to the Milanof-Schock Public Library at the start of June in support of its Summer Reading Program Kickoff and Used Book.
“As local educators in the Donegal School District, we are so grateful and honored to partner with our community’s library,” said DEA President Justin Neideigh. “The library promotes early literacy, fosters a love of reading and learning, and serves as an educational and cultural center providing a foundation for people of all ages through its excellent programs.”
DEA Secondary Vice President Don Seibert added, “As teachers, we simply cannot do as much in the classroom if students struggle to read, comprehend, and apply what they read.”
Neideigh agreed, stating, “Partnering with our local library just makes sense to us because their efforts are a natural extension of the classroom and help us to enhance and empower the education of the children in our community,”
We are proud to continue our longstanding relationship with the Milanof-Shock Library as we work together toward our shared mission of supporting lifelong learning and strong educational foundations.
