We are so happy for our staff member, Tori, who has earned a full-time position at another library in the Lancaster County Public Library System! As of tomorrow, May 22, Tori will be the Children and Teens Library Assistant at Lancaster Public Library. Well done, Tori!
Before she left, Tori attended a week-long Leadership Academy Conference with the Pennsylvania Library Association, where she learned what it means to be a leader in the library profession. “Participating in the Leadership Academy allowed me to network with different library professionals outside of Milanof-Schock,” she said.
For the next few months, as part of this conference, Tori will be working with a small group of other participants on a practicum project, where they will interview previous award and scholarship winners from the Pennsylvania Library Association. The group will write a submission in a scholarly journal about their interviews and the process of conducting the project. “I’m very much looking forward to working on this project, as well as getting to showcase my leadership capabilities within my group.”
While working at Milanof-Schock Library, Tori earned her Masters in Library Science through Drexel University. We are so proud of Tori and her accomplishments, and we wish her must success in her next chapter.
