Little Free Library

Milanof-Schock Library now has an official “Little Free Library” located inside the old First National Bank at 100 E. Market Street in Marietta! We even took the extra step and ordered an official plaque and were given Charter #82580. For fun, look it up on the worldwide map after Jan. 1, 2019.

Starting a Little Free Library has been a goal of MSL for quite some time. MSL Board VP, Stan Tucker, approached building owners Steve and Abby Ulrich (pictured above), who also own the businesses located inside – First National Escape and My Digital Conversion. The couple was thrilled with the idea and is excited to have a little Library in their establishment.

How does a Little Free Library (LFL)work? Anyone may contribute or take books. The more the merrier! If you take a book (or two) from an LFL, you do not need to return that exact book. However, in order to keep the Little Library full of good choices for the whole neighborhood, the next time you swing by the LFL bring a few books to share. Little Library book exchanges function on the honor system; everyone contributes to ensure there are always quality books inside. This way, we all win!

Milanof-Schock’s Little Free Library is accessible Mon-Fri 10am to 5pm and Saturdays 10am to 1pm.
